Registration
Cancellation policy
Cancellations must be made in writing by e-mail (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) to the conference secretariat.
- Until 31.12.2020: The full amount will be refunded less CHF 50.- to cover cancellation costs.
- Until 28.02.2021: Attendance fees will not be refunded. Additional paid items (farm tours, gala dinner, traditional evening) will be refunded in full.
- As of 01.03.2021: No refund will be made for cancellations received after this date.
Reimbursement will not be given for late arrival, unused services, unattended events and/or early departure from the conference. The participant can revoke any financial transaction with Artefact Management Ltd, by registered mail at most seven working days after the transaction. The cancellation letter must be dated and signed and enable easy identification of the transaction cancelled and the person who cancels the transaction.

Disclaimer
The organizer of the conference and Artefact Management Ltd cannot be held responsible for any damage and/or loss incurred by conference participants or by any persons accompanying them, both during the official activities and the excursions. Participants are advised to take out insurance against loss, accident or damage which could be incurred during the conference.

Privacy policy
When a visitor accesses the Internet portal, various data are recorded (e.g. visitor's IP address, date and time of access, etc.). Personal data shall in no way be used for commercial purposes. Data collected will however be used in an anonymous way to establish various statistics (e.g. conference attendance, number of participants per country, etc.). All data will be treated confidentially in accordance with the Swiss regulation on data protection.

Transfer of data through the Internet
As it is an open network accessible to anyone, Internet does not offer a secure environment. Even though the packages of data are in principle transmitted over an encrypted link, this procedure does not apply to the sender or the recipient. Furthermore, even if the sender and the recipient are Swiss residents, the data may transit via foreign countries that have less efficient data protection standards than Switzerland. Therefore, Artefact Management Ltd cannot be held liable for the security of data transferred through the Internet.

WHFF mailing list
By registrering to the conference, participants will be added to the WHFF mailing and may receive information regarding upcoming conferences. Should you not want to benefit from these services, please notify us by e mail (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).

Photographs, video and audio
Before, during and after the conference, participants may be photographed, filmed or recorded. Registration to and attendance at the conference and all related events constitutes an agreement by the participants to the organizer’s use and distribution (both now and in the future) of the participant’s image or voice in photographs, videotapes, electronic reproductions or audiotapes. Cancellation/postponement of the conference in a case of force majeure
In a case of force majeure (war, epidemic, terrorism, natural disaster, etc.), the organizer will do his utmost to postpone the conference in a more appropriate time. Participants will benefit from a credit to put forward on the postponed edition. The credit amount will be equal to the registration fee, after deduction of fix and variable costs that could not be postponed. If such a situation occurs, changes in registration details will be accepted without additional costs, but no refund will be made. Non-refundable amounts and other costs related to the conference cancellation/postponement will have to be supported by the participants. Participants who want to guard against force majeure risks must personally take out insurance.

Accommodation

- Until 20.12.2020: The full amount will be refunded less CHF 50.- to cover cancellation costs.
- As of 21.12.2020: No refund will be made for cancellations received after this date. This is also applicable to no-shows (definition), changes and/or early departure.

Room availability
In order to guarantee room availability at the negotiated conditions, please proceed with your hotel booking no later than 20.12.2020. Room availability and negotiated conditions cannot be guaranteed after this date.

Rates
All prices are quoted in Swiss Francs (CHF) and include breakfast, VAT and city tax.

Booking confirmation
Rooms are confirmed once the full payment has been made by credit card prior to 20.12.2020. Any rooms that would remain unpaid by this date will be cancelled automatically.

Cancellation/postponement of the conference in a case of force majeure
In a case of force majeure (war, epidemic, terrorism, natural disaster, etc.), the organizer will do his utmost to obtain a goodwill compensation from the hotels. The obtained compensation will be proportionally divided among all harmed participants, after deduction of fix and variable costs already spent and administration costs related to the reimbursements. Non-refundable amounts and other costs related to the conference cancellation/postponement will have to be supported by the participants. Participants who want to guard against force majeure risks must personally take out insurance.

JURISDICTION

The parties hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of Fribourg, Switzerland, and eventually the Supreme Court of Switzerland.
